Wheel of Wellbeing (WoW)

This section contains a range of FREE, engaging resources to help create a happier, healthier world for us all

The wheel of wellbeing is a colourful graphic framework that represents six universal themes that contribute to health and happiness.  BODY, MIND, SPIRIT, PEOPLE, PLACE and PLANET.  It was designed as a simple approach to promoting positive mental health and well-being, incorporating the ‘Five ways to Well-being’ (nef 2008), and linking each of the six themes to a positive action.  For example, ‘SPIRIT’ is linked to the action ‘give’ and ‘PEOPLE’ to ‘connect’.  By including a sixth them and action, “PLANET’ and ‘care’, the WoW approach also ensures that the ‘Five ways to Well-being’ are understood in the context of global sustainability.  Better understanding of the importance and interaction between these six themes can enable us to lead healthier happier more meaningful lives within flourishing communities and across society as a whole.
